Our mountains are alive and rich with a varied heritage. The men and women of Tarentaise, throughout history, have built up a rich heritage. The environment, which has been shaped by man, has enabled the establishment of mountain farming around the Tarine cow and the production of Beaufort. The heritage linked to the craft and economic activities of our mountains testify to the specificity of the Tarentaise.
